Wool Footstools FAQs
Our wool footstools are available in a variety of sizes, so no matter the height of your sofa or chair, you’ll find a footstool at a comfy height for your feet in our collection.
Our small footstools measure 340mm wide x 230mm deep with a height of 198mm. They’re a cute and cosy addition to any living room, allowing you to rest your feet comfortably off the floor whilst lounging on the sofa or resting in your chair.
Our large footstools measure 450mm wide with a depth of 330mm and are available in a variety of heights. We understand each and every sofa is different, plus, everyone has different preferences too when it comes to how high they’d like to rest their feet on one of our footstools. That’s why we designed different heights for our large footstools. You can choose from either 264mm, 275mm or 295mm high.
You can choose from either our sophisticated pinstripe wool fabric or our Poz wool which provides a soft, cozy look and feel to your home with its blend of different coloured fabrics.
Both wool fabrics are available in a wide range of colours, from Seaglass Green and Linen Beige in the pinstripe range to Navy Blue and Ecru Beige in our Poz wool collection. No matter your home decor, you’re sure to find a footstool to match and complement it in our range.
You may be worried that keeping your wool footstool clean may be a difficult task, especially in a busy household where spills and potential stains are a possibility. Well you’ll be pleased to know that keeping your wool footstool clean needn’t be a difficult job.
General upkeep of the wool footstool involves regular vacuuming using the upholstery attachment to prevent dust and debris from settling into the wool fibres over time.
For any spills, it’s important that you immediately start to clean them to avoid any stains. Whilst the cleaning technique differs slightly depending on what you’ve spilled on your footstool, these are generally the steps to take.
You’ll want to grab a soft, absorbent, clean cloth and start to blot the spill gently. Once you’ve soaked up as much of the excess liquid that you can, you’ll want to mix together some washing up liquid and water to create a gentle cleaning solution.
Grab a new clean cloth, dip it in the water and start to dab it on the stain, working from the outside edge, working your way inwards. Then ideally use a new dry cloth to blot and absorb the moisture from cleaning the spill.
Hopefully that’s done the job, however if once it’s completely dry, the stain is still there, you’ll want to purchase a special dry cleaning solvent that’s specifically formulated for cleaning wool or employ the services of a specialist cleaning service if you can’t manage to remove it.
